Many houses in a street,
Each painted the same;
Pink walls, picket fences,
No numbers, no names.
In the street is my home,
You wonder how I can tell;
For identical are gardens,
And the sound of bells.
I’ve rung so many to see,
Many have stayed shut;
Some have opened once,
Started, and ended in but.
I’ll search my home here,
Till one will feel so true;
For on the other side will be,
The loving sight of you.
