As the twilight light shines through,
What dreams do you send to me?
A new year, do I welcome again,
With fresh hopes, or with fragility?
I know both will come, but tonight,
What shall I see when eyes close?
Will it be the touch of softest petals,
Or the prick of the thorns of a rose?
The year gone by, I’ll let that go,
Look ahead with positive thoughts,
Restart again, with renewed joys,
With old stumbles now left forgot.
Let the twilight light shine through,
I’ll catch it with a hopeful smile,
My dreamcatcher, I ask this of you,
As I take the first step of many miles.
