Sometimes I wonder what it takes,
At what point my patience breaks;
Where does hope fade into black?
Where this journey goes off track?
For silver linings, I ignore the cloud,
Ignore dark voices I hear so loud;
But how much longer can I persist,
Sadly, I don’t know if I can resist.
Pain I’ve felt, it seems that close,
But what’s painful, do you know?
When I don’t know what’s wrong,
An endless fall going on and on.
No words seem to heal my cuts,
No ounce of instinct from my gut;
No friendly faces to lend a smile,
Just alone… alone all the while.
Pain I’ve felt, no stranger it is,
It goes off and comes like this,
But it’s more painful when I say,
I don’t know when it’ll go away.
