Beyond the horizon,
The sun sinks away
Its pale yellow rays,
Kissing the blue day.
An orange wave
Slowly wets the sky,
Above the green trees,
Where the birds fly.
The mountains afar,
Black as the night,
Just moments before
A snow-capped white.
How beautiful to see,
Colors waving at me,
It makes me smile,
This crayon-box sky.

Beautiful. Crayon box sky… Just love this one description that can bring images of so many beautiful sunsets to my mind. Amazing.
It would look just like that, I think. The colors and the whimsical feeling I get seeing the sunset at times! 🙂 Thank you, Fathy!
That title is so evocative – crayon box sky. Loved the poem.

Thank you, Tulika! 🙂 Glad you loved the poem!
I love the idea of the sky like a crayon box. I like how you’ve incorporated all the different colours to provide beautiful imagery. Sunsets are beautiful…I can’t get enough of them.

I see these sunsets at the same place each day, and yet each looks so different. I feel they are magical, Babby. Colors and all! Even I can’t get enough of them.
That pic, your poetry are both beautiful!
From now on, whenever I look at the sky- sunset or sunrise, I will think of your poem 🙂
Then my poem is complete, Pix. 🙂 I’m glad the poem was memorable, and may your sunsets be too!
