A Fresh Start – #WednesdayVerses

Fresh #WednesdayVerse 2019

A fresh page, blank, plain,
Lies waiting for my verse,
Often they flow with ease,
At times, they feel terse.
Heavy now, my little heart,
Filled with many thoughts,
As the nib touches paper,
Uncertainty takes a spot.
Only the fresh page I see,
No burdens of failed past,
For each drop of blue ink,
I spill on this paper today,
Is a memory that will last.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Technically, every day is a fresh start. But yeah, I get what you are trying to say here πŸ™‚
Here’s to a year full of happy moments that will turn into happy memories!
Happy New Year to you πŸ™‚

  2. That’s what a blank page offers- so many possibilities, and chances to see past the past. May you fill many fresh pages with your rhyming words and thoughts. πŸ™‚ Joining you guys for Wednesday verses this Sunday evening from my part of the world.
