I’m doing #100DaysOfBlogging along with Reshmy. The theme for Day 9 of the writing adventure is Loud.
I love music. It is my second favorite pastime (after reading, and slightly ahead of writing). In my playlist, there are songs that offer me comfort. They have been there since time immemorial. Many friends know it and wonder why I don’t change them and hear new releases instead. It’s because they provide a cathartic feeling new releases don’t.
A fellow music lover wrote a post on a song that sways her. I love that same song, and hadn’t listened to it in a while. Without further ado, I heard the same on Amazon Prime. I turned the volume up loud and put it on repeat. After a while, I went on to other songs I love and feel “sways me”. Before I realized it, it was half past two in the morning!
It also brought a discussion on favorite songs with Dhivya (fondly called Panda by a few of us). I think good music has that quality. It not only makes the movie better, it makes a mark on life that makes life better too! Whether it is because of lyrics, or because of the beat, or even because of the person who led us to the song, music is a part of most of our lives! It just makes us want to turn the volume up, and slowly get life’s irritating volume lowered.
A song that sways me even to this days is Baawra Mann, a Hindi melody. I love it because of its lyrics, and the singer’s talent! What’s that song which sways you?
Liked this? Maybe you can read some of my earlier posts: for 100 Days of Blogging (2018).
