I’m doing #100DaysOfBlogging along with Reshmy. The theme for Day 7 of the writing adventure is Voracious.
I love to read. I have said it in many posts before, and possibly, might say again in posts to come. The love for the written word was inculcated in me during my school days. In particular, I would frequently read a few authors. One of those authors was Enid Blyton, and even today, when I re-read her books, I feel comforted in the warm blanket of nostalgia.
Thanks to some wonderful steal deals on e-retail websites and also a bunch of wonderful bibliophile buddies, my collection of Enid Blyton books is quite large. I have completed collecting four series, and it holds a place of pride on my little bookshelf. Many of my colleagues and relatives bring up my shelf, and say I’m a voracious reader. Thankfully, this year, I’ve been able to live up to that word.
My September has been wonderful. I have so far read 12 of the 21 books in the Famous Five series. I wanted to re-read them since ages, and decided that it was the right time to do it! My expectation was to finish all 21 by September end, but I haven’t been able to read like I wanted to. Still, I am happy with what I have managed to do. The adventures of George, Timmy, Julian, Dick and Anne still hold the magic it had in childhood days!
A friend is re-reading another Enid Blyton series. I will read that series once I’m finished with the Famous Five books! I think it will be fun, because I don’t remember much of that series. Are you a voracious reader too? Are you planning to read or re-read any series?
Liked this? Maybe you can read some of my earlier posts: for 100 Days of Blogging (2018).
