I’m doing #100DaysOfBlogging along with Reshmy. The theme for Day 5 of the writing adventure is Restraint.
“I’m giving it up,” said Rhea, looking into the rearview mirror and adjusting her hair.
Her husband watched her, a smile playing on his lips.
“I can see your smile, and I know what that means. But this time, I mean it.”
Ben laughed as he brought the car to a halt and got out. Rhea only frowned.
“I can do it. I can show restraint,” she willed herself as she entered the party hall.
“Oh no!” she exclaimed, seeing the big table.
“From tomorrow,” she sighed, walking toward the coffee she had given up on a few moments before.

Hers is a weakness shared by many…
I know, Dale. 🙂 At one time, I shared that weakness tooo…
Coffee addiction! I love coffee, why give it up?
Hehe! 🙂 Sometimes, it’s just a feeling, a need to deaddict! Perhaps it was with Rhea too. Thank you, Abhijit.
Just reading this makes me want another coffee! Nice one
Hahah! 😉 Enjoy, Keith. I know what that feels like!
Can totally relate! Great piece.
Thanks, Lisa. 🙂
One mug a day isn’t addiction, is it? IS IT?
It depends on the perspective. Some find it addiction, some don’t. 🙂 Thanks, Linda. 🙂
Ha, I have no desire to torment myself in such a manner. Nice take on the prompt.
😀 Many don’t. Enjoy the coffee, Jo!
ha ha ha…been there a million times and one more for a hundred things.
Haha, Resh! Especially coffee and sugary stuff, alle? 😛
There are far worse habits than coffee though everything in moderation is an annoyingly correct piece of advice. Nice story.
Thank you, Jilly 🙂
