No longer…
No longer the same;
The poet I once was
Seems too lost to find,
Tired, at times broken,
The thoughts in my mind.
Tempted to give up,
But the heart disagrees,
Makes me still yearn,
For that poet inside me.
But no longer do I know,
Where that poet to seek,
For feeling that lost,
That this poem feels weak.
As part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Reema and I have started this weekly prompt we’ve decided to call as Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. We are happy to have you rhyme with us. Welcome!
Prompt #25 is “No Longer”.
Please link up only if you’ve written a poem for the prompt!

It might take time but I’m sure that poet will be back. Words are always around and you will seek it.

I hope so. Because he seems lost.
I perfectly understand this feeling because I’ve been through this phase. I loved how you’ve weaved a poem out of this.
I suppose many of us would have, Reema. Hope to get out of the phase.
We’ll get you back, Leo. 2018 is the year! Nice poem this one.
Hope so. 😛 I’m not really sure, Reshmy.
