Soulmate
A rainy day, a warm heart,
A dream in a piece of art;
The girl’s face, just a blur,
Many ways to picture her.
Maybe like a rose, in pink,
Smiling eyes, so I’d think;
Colors coming, one by one,
Yet this art far from done.
Who she is, I do not know,
A dream she is, elusive so;
Till it clears, to see I wait,
The one I’d call soulmate.
As part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Reema and I have started this weekly prompt we’ve decided to call as Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. We are happy to have you rhyme with us. Welcome!
Prompt #19 is a picture prompt, which is the first photograph I’ve used above.

Please link up only if you’ve written a poem for the prompt!

Nice interpretation of the picture! While I don’t believe in soulmates, the poem is quite sweet 🙂
Sweet works. 🙂 I’m not sure if there are soulmates either, Babby. But would be nice to think there is. 😀
Aww..cute one, Vinay! I hope the soul mates meet! <3
Hope so, Shilpa Gupte. 🙂
Such a wonderful poem inspired by the picture. I like how you say so much in so few words!
