This is my 9th attempt at the month-long blogging challenge, Blogging from A to Z. I’ve completed it 5 times so far. My theme this year is 7 Sentence Fiction, and the word I’m using for Y is Yellow.
Yellow Tulips
“He gave me a dozen red roses, Rashmi. Quite romantic, don’t you think?”
“But doesn’t he know you don’t like red roses, Raji?” Rashmi laughed, hearing her twin’s words.
“He does, of course, but that’s not the point. It’s our first Valentine’s Day!”
Rashmi looked away, a smile on her lips.
Her husband had given her four of her favorite yellow tulips, one for each year they had known and loved each other.
