Mid-April Reflections #1

Halfway through this #AtoZChallenge, I have persisted. There have been times I thought I’d give up, that the words are stuck. Old April memories trying to pull me down, I suppose.

I have been happy with what I have written, though for a few of the posts, there has been a feeling of dejavu. Like I’ve written on the same theme before, but in a different way. I don’t mind that. Last year, Reshmy had given me a few words to write on, and that helped to get me started, and push ahead.

I have scheduled a couple of posts, so I’m not likely to leave the challenge halfway like last time. It gives me time to think on what to write next. I’ll take it one letter at a time, and see what waits ahead.

My reading targets for April seem far away right now. I have read and reviewed just the one book this month so far, and Reader’s Block seems to have a tight grip on me. It disheartens me, but doesn’t leave me hopeless. Maybe it is time to go back to a familiar world, so it opens up the paths to new worlds.

How has your April been so far?

Mid-April Reflections mysign2017

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. What???? Did you say a block????? I dont think such things exists vinay. Read to enjoy and not to win a race and write at peace so that others savor it too… And I am sure you do it that way.. Your april has surely been brilliant, as I see you havent quit the challenge . CHeers!!! :))))

    • Oh, it exists alright, Ramya. 🙁 It’s not about the number of books read or a race with others, but when I can’t read for a long time, it irks me no end. April has been quite happy, writing-wise. 🙂
