This is my 9th attempt at the month-long blogging challenge, Blogging from A to Z. I’ve completed it 5 times so far. My theme this year is 7 Sentence Fiction, and the word I’m using for L is Letters.
Unopened Letters
“Dear Latika, I wish I could tell you how much I love you.”
I had opened the first two, and didn’t have the heart to open the rest.
I still wonder what might have been, if he had come for me that day.
He knew I loved him too. I had told him so under the old mango tree.
I remember when the car had sped away, taking me and Amma to this new city.
“Rajesh, I shall always love you,” this blind girl had whispered, hoping the breeze would take it to her mute lover.
Liked this? Maybe you can read some of my earlier posts: Stories | for A to Z 2018.

Oh, that first sentence tugs at my heart when I read that last sentence. Hope they will be able to meet again, soon.

I hope so too. 🙂 Maybe her parents have noticed that love, who knows? Thanks, Sreedeep.
Love story with twists. Vinay you are so good at writing fiction, I wonder what is the thought process and inspiration behind it.
Cheers

The inspirations are quite random actually, Meenal Sonal. 🙂 Glad you liked the story.
