Solace
Words…
Sometimes they rush out,
Taking with them my tears,
Taking away too my fears;
Perhaps an ounce of solace,
Yet in that moment I know,
That ounce, it matters so.
Words…
How in that one tiny verse,
A bit of hope takes form,
And in their softest whisper,
I see a light after the storm.
As part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Reema and I have started this weekly prompt we’ve decided to call as Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. We are happy to have you rhyme with us. Welcome!
Today, March 21st, is World Poetry Day! Let’s celebrate with more poems.
Prompt #11 is WORDS.
Please link up only if you’ve written a poem for the prompt!

Beautiful!
Thanks, Sunita!
Love the rhyme and rhythm of this piece. Words are so powerful and I love that we can use them to express so much
We can, and we usually do as well, Sanch. 🙂
This is so beautiful and true! A lot of times words have helped me overcome my tears and fears.
