unbridled laughter

Unbridled (A Poem)

Her laughter comes,
Like her innocence,
Her simple thoughts,
What she wants,
To be loved a lot;
To see her mischiefs
She shows with pride,
Being her own self,
Nothing now to hide.
Her laughter comes,
Unbridled in her eyes,
And in those reflected
Our forgotten smiles.

wednesday verse light

As part of our resolution to write more poetry in 2018, Reema and I have started this weekly prompt we’ve decided to call as Wednesday Verses. Each Wednesday, we’ll be writing a poem based on the prompt of the week, and sharing a linky. We invite you all to join us with your own poems on the prompt. Write on your blogs, and link up with #WednesdayVerses. We are happy to have you rhyme with us. Welcome!

Prompt #2 is “LAUGHTER”

Please link up only if you’ve written a poem for the prompt!

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. The beauty of childhood! 🙂
We really need to take the time to find joy in the small things that matter – it’s so easy to take things for granted! We need to remember to smile and laugh just a little more!
    beautifully written Leo
