Sharing this post with #WriteTribeProBlogger challenge, inspired by the prompt, “Heartprints”.
Heartprints…
It’s all well and good to say “I don’t need anyone. I can reach the destination myself.” It’s possible of course, not saying that it isn’t. But if the journey matters as much as the destination, then it is important to have a good support system behind you. Because there will come a time that you feel the destination is out of reach, or feel too tired to move ahead even one step.
Out of curiosity, I googled for the meaning of the word, “Heartprints”. Surprisingly, Urban Dictionary gave the meaning, “something positive or caring that somebody says or does, that leaves there footprint upon your heart.” Looking at the short term, the duration of this Problogger Challenge, I’m lucky to have had a supportive team behind me. If they hadn’t pushed me to continue, I may have given up on the last few posts. Those heartprints mattered. Looking at my life so far, I can remember many situations where a friend has left a mark upon my heart, and helped me move forward. Those heartprints mattered too. If it wasn’t for them, I may not have reached where I have.
I thought I’d give up,
The road felt wrong;
Then few words said,
We’re there, be strong;
A warmth kept pushing,
Till it covered my heart;
It showed some hope,
I had had at the start.
I persisted somehow,
The goal I could see,
And with that support,
I reached it happily.

And we all are happy that you reached the goal! Keep smiling. Be positive and never give up.
It is only a matter of time that darkness is prevailed by light. We should always keep searching for it no matter what.
I guess that’s what you tried to do and succeeded in ur attempt 🙂
Yeah. Me too. Phew. What a long distance challenge. 😉 Yep. Needs a bit of time for the darkness to vanish, Keerthi.
Aaha …. Lazy post huh? But I loved the way you took the prompt.

Yep. Bit of a lazy post, but heartfelt nonetheless. 😉 Thank you, SSJ.
Thats what friends do! So nice to see that your support system is so strong and that you have a heart that can lean on to your system.
Yes. I have some wonderful friends, my support system. 🙂 Would be in a ditch if it wasn’t for them, Ishi.
Thanks for being the best team leader, Vinay!!! Was so much fun to be part of your tribe. The chats we all had are memories for life now. I am grateful to be part of the write tribe. Your posts were thought provoking, interesting and I have learnt a lot from you. Thanks again.

Oh this is very sweet Vinay; thank you for the shoutout and also to lead the team through the challenge. 🙂

It was a pleasure taking the challenge through, Shalini Baisiwala. 🙂
Thanks Leo for being a wonderful tribe leader and such a beautiful concluding post 🙂 Let’s stay in touch.
Definitely staying in touch, Ashwini Dodani. 🙂 Thank you for the poetic and musing memories!
Although I may not have entirely reached the goal, they say it is important to start and keep the momentum going until you reach the destination. I have heard the journey makes things more interesting, and I am glad to have started this one. Thanks for the support.
You can still finish it, even if not officially. 🙂 Write two posts for the two prompts and backdate them, Shruti Shankar. When you look back at the end of the year, you can see 9 posts in the month! Happy to have supported you during the challenge.
Its been a super month. And I feel sometimes we need the support of our friends to cross the line, to motivate us to look ahead. So, when are you planning the next challenge?
(Lata Sunil recently posted… Heartprints #WriteBravely)
I’m not planning. I just lead a tribe when a planned challenge occurs. 🙂 Hopefully there’s another challenge in the offing, Lata. I’ve not read your stories yet, but I plan to, soon.
This was so sweet. And it is what I felt too. the support , the constant reassurance, it really helped me keep on track. This is the first time I have attempted any blogging challenge .I was so unsure about completing it. But I did manage to post and did enjoy reading so many posts both within my subtribe and otherwise.

Oh yes. Such challenges are difficult but doable and enjoyable because of the support, and the company of friends. Thank you, Sunita.
Happy that you completed the challenge, Vinay. You led the tribe admirably. LeoTribe was, is and will always be cherished!
Happy to have completed the challenge, and also been able to lead. 🙂 Thank you, Sreedeep.
