This poem is written for #WriteTribeProBlogger challenge, inspired by the prompt “Disobedience”. Also sharing with Poetry Pantry.

problogger disobedience

Disobedient clouds,
When I wish for rain,
They split into wisps;
Warm sunlight kissing
My already warm skin;
When I want the sun,
They crowd together;
With an eerie laugh,
They begin to cry;
Why can’t they obey?
Then again, like life,
Not each step I take,
Would be how I pray.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Nothing ever behaves as we want it to be. I guess the Bangalore rains is an inspiration behind this masterpiece. I believe that we have to find a way to get along with tge heavy rains and the scorching sun, and the life that takes us through the unusually long winding roads against our will. Thought provoking, Vinay. šŸ™‚
