October in review…
The thing with plans is that, sometimes, it just does not happen as we wanted it to happen. I signed up for Daily Chatter at The Blog Chatter, a daily blogging challenge, given that I was already attempting to blog a hundred days in a row. For some reason, my words chose to leave my around midway through, and I couldn’t finish the challenge in time. I’m not one to throw in the towel that easily though. I intend to backdate posts and finish each day of that challenge. It’s not going to be official, since the linky there expires tonight, but it’ll be for a personal happiness, you could say.
Navratri and Diwali this year have been wonderful. I’ve enjoyed the festivities on both occasions, and my neighbor’s children have helped me travel back in time with their enthusiasm during both festivals too. I spoke with one of my best friend after a long time, and talked with her for a while. That’s something to be happy about.
It’s almost like a second summer around here, and it seems to be draining me of energy, so much that I have not read a book completely in October. That’s a cause for alarm, for me at least. I’ve never gone that long without reading. It’s so strange, I don’t have words to describe it. It’s been so demoralizing that I’ve had to reduce my Goodreads reading target by over 20 books. I’ve never done that before.
Hoping November sorts out some anomalies…
