Magical Solitude
#100DaysOfBlogging Day 15
There’s no noise now,
But I hear the silence
In the solitude around;
I can hear my thoughts,
Some that I like a lot.
A part of myself rises,
One that I’d subdued,
One I’d reveal to few;
I love the noise of life,
Yet in the silence,
In this new solitude,
There’s a magic I find
In clearing the mind.
Collecting my thoughts
That remained forgot,
Throwing some away
So hopefulness stays;
Solitude isn’t weakness,
I’m never really alone;
There’s music in silence,
Where I feel right at home.
From 23rd September, exactly 100 days are left in the year, the idea is to write on each of these days. A few other friends chose their own themes. I thought I’d collaborate with Aniesha bon on the challenge. We’re choosing topics on alternate days, and each day, we’re writing on the same topic too. She chose the topic MAGIC for Day 15.

Whistles!!! ❤️? This is absolutely exquisite writing, Vinay 😀 I love the idea of solitude having magic to reveal the subdued side which is otherwise hidden deep inside of us.. such a deep and thoughtful vision. I also love the image of “Collecting my thoughts that remained forgot, throwing some away so hopefulness stays” Beautifully penned. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support ❤️?
Lots of love,
Sanaa
Yes. Solitude does all that for me. 🙂 It is quite a welcome change from the noise. Though too much of it can be bad as well. Thank you, Sanaa. 🙂

Yes there is magic in silence and a time for introspection … well penned. 🙂
I agree. That contemplation helps a lot at times. 🙂 Thank you, Loredana.

Yes, I can certainly relate to this:
“There’s a magic I find
In clearing the mind.”
And there’s certainly more than one’s fair share of solitude in a writer’s life…..
More than one’s fair share, yes. I relate to that too. Glad you could relate to a couplet from my poem, Scott. Thanks!

I think there are moments when I would find the noise inside unbearable, at other times I would seek the music of solitude.
Me too! I think a balance between the two is quite important. 🙂 Thank you, Bjorn.
I very much resonate with your words. I live much in silence, and treasure my solitude. It gives us a chance to rest. I like what you say about never being really alone. That is true, when one is tuned to the music of the spheres.

I treasure both the noise and the solitude, Sherry. 🙂 There are times when both are musical. Glad you could resonate with the words. Thank you.
I am so glad you found that magic – and shared it with us 🙂

Glad to have shared that magic. 🙂 Thank you, Jae.
Solitude definitely is not weakness. Many great discoveries are made in times of solitude.
True. 🙂 Solitude has definitely helped discover important things. Thank you, Mary.
I like your very positive idea of throwing some thoughts away so that hopefulness stays. It would be wonderful if we could all do the same. Your words express the best aspects of solitude.
It is good to let go of few thoughts, most certainly. When they weigh us down, it is difficult to get back on our feet. Glad you liked the poetry, Ellecee. 🙂
Silence is beautiful for it provides a canvas for an painter, a world to explore, a love to embrace and words to write down. Beautfifully written Leo.

I hadn’t thought of that angle, Old Egg. Yes. A painter would find comfort in silence, I agree. Thanks!
I often find solitude a bit refreshing, it gives me a time to breathe and simply be in the moment. It rejuvenates the soul.
Yes. A welcome change after a lot of noise, I feel. 🙂 It is rejuvenating, yes. Thank you, Dessa.
“There’s music in silence”…… I could not agree more
Thank you very much, Debi. 🙂
Solitude and silence certainly have their charms!
They do. They do indeed, Rosemary.
solitude & silence are the best thing that brings me full satisfaction & takes away all my stress .. i love to be alone always …btw connected with your beautiful poem 🙂
Glad you could connect with the poem, Dew. 🙂 I think most people like that solitude when we can reflect and refresh our thoughts. I don’t like to be alone always, but for some time, it is good!
Isn’t it wonderful when others “forget” to find you something to do…cos you must get bored on your own lol XXX
(Gina recently posted… A Haunting we will go…)
We can always find something to do on our own, Gina. But being on our own all the time is kind of boring too, I think. 🙂
Well-said….can relate to this…beautiful!
Glad that you could relate to it, Sreeja. 🙂 Thank you.
Beautifully write up
Thanks, Creative Life. 🙂
There is music in solitude…Indeed! There is beauty in silence when the thought process is beautiful too..Beautiful writing..
Yes. 🙂 To sit in silence and let the thoughts find their voice, that’s really beautiful. 🙂 Thank you, Janani.
