Nothing but Love…

#100DaysOfBlogging Day 10

who made the rules
he with she, she with he
nothing else goes?
he with he, she with she,
only they can know,
that it was meant to be.

empty chairs don’t matter,
for not all may agree,
but opinions differ,
if only we could see.

the wedding is the same,
same will be the vows,
after all is said and done,
nothing matters but love.

From 23rd September, exactly 100 days are left in the year, the idea is to write on each of these days. A few other friends chose their own themes. I thought I’d collaborate with Aniesha bon on the challenge. We’re choosing topics on alternate days, and each day, we’re writing on the same topic too. I chose the topic WEDDING for Day 10.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. I completely agree with your parting lines.. Life’s rules do seem so silly if you break them down..but what what trouble it can cause if you don’t follow them

  2. A marriage has those two sides… the celebration and the show…

but at its core is the union of two people, and if it’s good the empty chairs might not matter.

  3. You are quite right. We should not judge the natural selection that has allowed the planet to survive this long. The gradual over -population of the Earth may well have triggered a means of slowing it down!

    • Yes. The natural selection is what counts. Of course, selection varies between people. Maybe the populating will slow down, maybe not. Who knows for sure? Thanks, Old Egg.
