Unopened jars

Linking this with Prompt Nights (Intuition), and Quadrille #13 at d’Verse.

Unopened jars

the conscience nags
as words I type,
that what I know,
may not be true,
or the same for you;
intuition I lack,
and at times, tact;
with time I learn,
that words do scar.

thoughts in a jar…
some are better
left unopened.

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Often our words leave a deep impact upon others, I think scars are somewhat similar to battle wounds – beautiful in a way – for they show what we have been through as well as the strength that lies somewhere deep within. Beautifully executed. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support.

    Lots of love,
    Sanaa
