A Storm with the Sunshine
the rain continues to pour,
day in, day out, through the night
the world around changes,
till the sun again shines bright.
but with it, does the storm end?
for our world has changed too,
so what becomes the sunshine,
for a storm the sun gifts you?

What a beautiful gift this poem is – it takes several readings to find each special drop..and that is a very special thing too

Thank you so much, Jae Rose. Glad you felt so.
This is beautifully wise and profound! No doubt where there is sun there is also storm for life is but a blend of both. Beautifully executed. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights Vinay 🙂
Lots of love,

Thank you for the inspiration, Sanaa. Yes. That is life, but it feels unfair often.
storm and sunshine is life…
Thank you, Sumana.
It’s true we must accept the storms and rain, Perhaps they come to make the sunny days that much brighter.
Hope so, but the sunshine after the storm, it brings another storm we need to accept and face. Then perhaps, the day will be brighter. Thanks, Ellecee.
The sunshine after a storm brings rainbows and that is magical 🙂
There is always sunshine after a storm and life as we know it goes on even when we are in the midst of a thunderstorm.
Beautiful and poignant poetry Leo.

Yeah. The storm in the sunshine may feel like it can be handled because of the sunshine, I guess. Thank you, Pixie. 🙂
The storm brings the ‘stormshine’ which constantly churns us until we find the light of the sunshine. Beautifully written! It’s short, but has some profound life lessons!
