100 Days of Happiness – Day 62

It’s easy to find sadness each day, but to find a moment of happiness is difficult. Last year, I couldn’t bring myself to finish the 100 Days of Happiness challenge. This year, I am more determined to finish it — Counting down to 2016 with Happiness!

The Happiness of a Gift Voucher

100 Days of Happiness – Day 62

On a day when I was feeling quite under the weather because of the weather, one of my Facebook friends gifted me some book cheer by announcing that I was the one he was gifting a voucher to buy eBooks on Amazon. He’d had a giveaway of sorts earlier. Being new to the world of Kindle and reading on it, I am quite enthusiastic to buy eBooks. So this bit of happiness was very welcome, and I used it to buy a book I’d been thinking of buying since a while, Pradyumna by Usha Narayanan.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
