100 Days of Happiness – Day 48

It’s easy to find sadness each day, but to find a moment of happiness is difficult. Last year, I couldn’t bring myself to finish the 100 Days of Happiness challenge. This year, I am more determined to finish it — Counting down to 2016 with Happiness!

The Happiness of Familiarity

100 Days of Happiness – Day 48

Every morning, to reach the place where my office cab picks me up, I have to travel by the local bus service for ten or fifteen minutes. Most days, I get the same local bus. The conductor is a nice lady, who greets the passengers with a lovely smile. And today, she greeted me with that smile, and without waiting for me to tell, she just gave me the ticket. It’s a nice feeling, being a familiar face to someone who sees so many faces come and go every day.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
