It’s easy to find sadness each day, but to find a moment of happiness is difficult. Last year, I couldn’t bring myself to finish the 100 Days of Happiness challenge. This year, I am more determined to finish it β Counting down to 2016 with Happiness!
The Happiness of Comfort Food at Home
100 Days of Happiness – Day 31
If happiness and food go hand in hand, thereβs nothing like comfort food made at home in a jiffy to bring joy in a jiffy too. When the grandmom is not that hungry, and says she will finish whatever little was left over from lunch instead, we decide not to make a lot of items and instead have something light. Today, it was bhel puri and boiled plantain. I love bhel puri, but itβs the boiled plantain that I love more. It is food for every mood, and any time, be it breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner. This is simple food joy. No questions asked!

More than boiled plantain, I love pazham pori (plantain dipped in wheat flour batter and crispy fried)! And you are right, when happiness and food go hand in hand, it’s heaven!
I love both. π I guess pazhampori is more famous, no? π That food heaven is something else, Sreedeep. π
Plantain? What is it? Never heard of it? Does it taste sweet?
I am also thinking of starting on this 100HappyDays journey. Don’t know if I’ll complete it though.

It’s a kind of banana. Ripe, but not too ripe I think. π Quite delicious! π
Try na, Kaddu. π Better to start and not complete, than not start at all, eh?
I am not a huge fan of bhel puri.. I eat it, but if I had a choice – I will eat something else, like pani puri! π
I have never eaten boiled plantains.. ever.

Oh sure, Pixie. π I love Pani puri too. π That’s going to be a future day of happiness, I’m sure.
