It’s easy to find sadness each day, but to find a moment of happiness is difficult. Last year, I couldn’t bring myself to finish the 100 Days of Happiness challenge. This year, I am more determined to finish it — Counting down to 2016 with Happiness!
The Happiness of Friendship
100 Days of Happiness – Day 7
Friendship matters to me a lot. It’s because of friends that I am who I am today. At my office, there are a few who I am very close with. One of them is leaving the job for pursuing higher studies. It’s an opportunity that she has been looking out for, and I’m happy for her.
Today was her farewell. We gave a simple official send-off for her, with sweets and chips and soft drinks. We gifted her a brass lamp with the Goddess Lakshmi on it. And then, few of us went out for lunch. It’s something we do very rarely, and I think this is the first time the six of us have gone out together. We had fun. We talked, pulled each other’s legs and laughed a lot. We had a variety of dishes, the names of which I don’t remember now. And each course was delicious. But I think the best was what was saved for last.
Happiness is sharing a sizzling brownie between six friends, each trying to get hold of a piece of the brownie and the butterscotch ice-cream on top of that, while trying to see through the smoke as well. And happiness is the memories that’ll not melt away any time soon.

It’s really fun to be with friends, and more fun eating together. Loved the picture of the brownie. Nicely written, as always!
Yes. 🙂 It is. And the brownie only added to the sweetness of the being together. Thanks, Sreedeep! 😀
Great stuff, and best wishes to you.
Thanks, Blogoratti. 🙂 It’s nice to see you. I’ll come by soon as I can to your blog too. Been a while since I bloghopped. 😀
I wish your friend good luck and an awesome future 🙂
And yup fighting over food, trying to snatch the best bits from each-other makes for the most amazing memories there is to life! 😉 🙂
Yeah. They make wonderful memories, and I feel it’ll stay fresh in my mind for a long time, Pooja. 🙂
Happiness is that sizzling brownie! I so love it 🙂
