Things I like about Autumn

Week 34 – Thankful Tuesdays

The season of autumn isn’t really that prominent here, but you can notice it in the fallen leaves. I think the one thing I like about the season, in late September and early to mid-October is that it’s the festival season here In India. This year, the puja time with Vijayadasami and Ayudh Pooja etc. comes in the third week of October. I suppose the season is more prominent in memories, like the time I got my first bicycle or the first time I did puja for that bicycle, seeing the leaves turn brown on some of the trees etc. Autumn is mostly in memories, but I’m thankful for those memories always.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
