My Favorite Memory
Week 29 – Thankful Tuesdays
How can I choose a favorite memory? Over the years, there have been many moments I’ve cherished and love to recollect. Each is invaluable to me. The rains bring back the memories of childhood, my sister and I riding our bicycles back from school, trying to reach back before the rain becomes heavy; or the aroma of freshly made appams or vadas wafting over from grandma’s kitchen. There are memories of graduation, recollecting them I can even remember my vision blurred by tears. There are memories of the college fest; organizing the gaming section, dancing with my classmates on the stage and then playing antakshari on the two hour trip back home late at night. There are memories of getting my first salary, buying cashew sweets to give to colleagues and friends as treat. There’s the time I first started blogging nine years back; asking friends I got from this wonderful world to guest post on milestones. If I had a time turner, there’d be too many memories I would try to revisit. It’s a blessing that I am not able to choose just one, I think. I’m thankful for that, for each of those moments that are now a cherished memory.

Blessed is he who counts his blessings 🙂

🙂 Yeah. And blessed is he who has a lot of blessings to count too, Cookie. 😀
Brought back a lot of memories for me too 🙂 I think I should do a gratitude post soon. Sorry for being MIA. Missed reading your posts 🙂

Please do. 🙂 I’ll come read that post then. Glad you aren’t MIA anymore. Welcome da, Aathi. 😀
Ah. Memories 🙂 Each one is special, whether they bring smiles or tears.
Off topic, but I wonder if a time turner would replicate the specialness of each moment too 🙂
Maybe. Sometimes it’s best to let a memory be just that, magical as it may seem. Perhaps they seem magical because they are memories? 🙂

It should, but we wouldn’t be reliving it, just watching ourselves relive it, so it might only be as special as watching it on a DVD perhaps? 🙂 I’d like to imagine that a time turner would exist that’d make us relive them. Hope it happens, Usha.
The practice of gratitude and thanksgiving puts our world in perspective and appreciation!
Thank you, Becca. 🙂

Yeah. Sometimes, small events become important memories. Very true, Apala. 🙂
