Breaking the Chains…
“The legend goes that a princess, cursed to live as a demon’s wife, was chained by him on the shore. Her tears during his demonic acts flowed through to the sea, creating this path where you stand.”
The tour guide sounded like a recording to Kate.
“What happened to the princess?”
“They say she died on the second night, unable to take the torture, leaving the chain behind.”
Kate took them out from her purse.
“Time to break the chains,” she said, signing the petition for divorce. It had been two years.
“Better late than never,” her sister agreed, smiling.

Thank you, De Jackson 🙂
That is certainly a moving moment in Kate’s life. Well, they do sometimes call them the old ball and chain.

Time to break the chains… 🙂
Yes yes. I think you have a few to break, Pooja 😛 🙄
First of all I have to say that you got a really good space here man…the whole look and template is quite nice!!
Oh my! Thank you. 😀 Look who’s back to blogging after a while. How you been, Mayz of The Crystal Maze? 😉 and why Lucifer? 😛
Perfect and as always I’m amazed at how beautifully you weave a story! I definitely wouldn’t have come up with this story line after seeing the pic! Write more! 🙂

Thanks 🙂 To each who wrote seeing that pic, it would have been a different story. That’s the power of a good picture, I suppose 😀 Glad you liked the story, Shalzzz.
If the bonds become a load its wise to break the chain and Kate did that. A very sensitive tale.
Yes. Best to break the chain before the chain breaks you, I guess. Thank you, Kalpana.
I was wondering what that photo was about and read’, you are in mood to break those chains 😀

Have no chains to break, Sims 😛 This is purely fiction.
That’s a good one! True, sometimes, all you need is a little push or an inspiration!

Indeed, Shilpa Garg 🙂 All that is needed is a push. Glad you liked the story!
