Thankful Tuesdays #14 – The Art of Writing

Written as part of 52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge which I’m attempting this year.

A Talent That I Have

Week 14 – Thankful Tuesdays

“I write for the same reason I breathe; because if I didn’t, I would die.” – Isaac Asimov

This quote has been ever present on my blog since the day I chanced across it. It is my honest belief that that is true when it comes to my journey. Writing has not only been therapeutic, but also a life-saver on many occasions. It’s what I love to do. It is my talent.

Some of my friends say that my writing is a good way to understand how to do descriptions, attention to detail, make the scene come to life in their imagination. I’m happy that they say that, because most of the times, if not all, I do write to do that.

I’m thankful to have been able to write, and I’m not going to stop it. I can’t stop being me.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

I love your writing. Do keep at it no matter what 🙂

It is a beautiful thing to be thankful for isn’t it…. 🙂
