Thankful Tuesdays #9 – A reflection

Written as part of 52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge which I’m attempting this year.

How did you do and feel?

Week 9 – Thankful Tuesdays

8 weeks gone, and this prompt prompts me to reflect on those first 8 weeks. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to write without delaying the post much, and I’ve felt happy thanking some people who are special to me and some things which are special as well. I’m thankful that I have more posts to come, and that I know what will come for some of them. I’ve felt a bit sad that I can’t thank more than a particular person or two, because of the theme given in the challenge, but I’ve taken a bit of liberty at times so as to not miss out when I feel it’s needed. Most of all, I’m grateful to have written much more than I thought I’d have in me when I started the challenge. It has been fun, and nostalgic and I am grateful that I found this challenge to do in this year.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Gratitude goes a long way in making one see life in a fresh perspective I guess.
