In response to the prompts at OctPoWriMo Day 13, and for UBC Day 13.
if life were a pack of Gems,
each color just as sweet,
would it be just as exciting,
to savor the little treats?
the bright yellow of joys,
or the red of our angers,
or even our envious green,
if every mood felt the same,
and we felt no different,
what would it, to you, mean?
no moody blues to take,
or the pink of health to find,
no purple to judge correctly
between heart and mind.
just the same old life,
in every color and shape,
seems a boring choice to me,
so I’m glad for the flavors,
that I savor each new day,
and let the colors just be.

Yes, Life is pretty boring without all those emotions. They colour our life and teach us so much if we are willing tolearn from them.

Very true, Jb 🙂 It’s that willingness which matters. They color our willingness then too.

You did a great job of capturing the moods of all those colors… I think of them that way but putting words to it was really cool!
Thank you, Zoe 🙂

This speaks to me. I’ll keep it in mind next time that I judge one of my moods as uncomfortable, a pain, or some other negative judgement.

Gems will never be the same to me again. Nicely woven the colours to the various emotions. 🙂

All the colours melt and form a shade of white before they reveal their chocolatey self. What do you make of that o poet 🙂
(Bhavya recently posted… Ten Things To Do)
I make that you have a strong imagination, Ishi 😛 Sweet imagination this time too, with the chocolate.
(Vinay Leo R. recently posted… Halfway there…)
