looking at the blue sky
its face marred by clouds,
but I watch it happily;
looking in the mirror,
seeing the scars I know,
but I accept it to be me;
perfection is perception,
it just matters how I see.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. How true….. at times we r really tough on ourselves. Trying to tick every thing people consider beautiful but perfection is just perception.

  2. Most people put us on a pedestal, and then we struggle hard to conform to their ideas of perfection. But then that is their perception. It is hard to accept us for who we are but when we do, we are truly perfect πŸ™‚

    • Yeah Jb. We absolutely try our hardest to be someone they perceive us to be. We aren’t always that. I won’t say we are perfect, no one is, but we shouldn’t be trying to achieve another’s perceived perfection, that’s for sure! πŸ™‚
