NaPoWriMo was first held in 2003. It is an annual project where participating poets write a poem each day of April. There are optional prompts given by the site for writing. You don’t need a blog for taking part. You just need to promise yourself that you will write a poem every day of April.
one sip, two sip,
my tongue I swirl,
though sometimes,
it makes me hurl.
some groundnuts,
boiled and salted;
while I savor it,
world feels halted.
while I saver it,
my life feels fine;
oh this heavenly
taste of red wine.
The prompt at NaPoWriMo asks to write a Anacreontic poem, which is a sort of a high-falutin’ drinking song. I don’t know if mine can be classified as a song or a high falutin’ one at that, but I chose to write on my love for red wine.

“While I savor it, the world feels halted” isnt that why most people drink…..but an awesome drinking song 🙂
Yeah 😛 Most people drink coz of that I guess. I don’t get high though. 😉 Thanks, Jb!
