NaPoWriMo was first held in 2003. It is an annual project where participating poets write a poem each day of April. There are optional prompts given by the site for writing. You don’t need a blog for taking part. You just need to promise yourself that you will write a poem every day of April.
it is with you I share my life
everything I feel priceless
be it my joys, or my sorrow
be it a calmness, or stress
we’ve been together long
ten years, maybe bit more
with you I wrote my past
dreamed of what’s in store
few words can truly reveal
how much you mean to me
to other you are just a pen
but a priceless asset to me
The prompt at NaPoWriMo asks to to write a love poem . . . but the object of the poem should be inanimate. You can write a love poem to your favorite pen, the teddy bear you had as a child (and maybe still have), or anything else, so long as it’s not alive!

Ah….a pen…..I have had one for over 15 years now and another for over 10 years 🙂
Yes. It’s like something we never want to let go 🙂 Thanks, Jb.
