NaPoWriMo was first held in 2003. It is an annual project where participating poets write a poem each day of April. There are optional prompts given by the site for writing. You don’t need a blog for taking part. You just need to promise yourself that you will write a poem every day of April.

The prompt at NaPoWriMo asks to write a Lune. A lune is similar to a haiku in that it has three lines. The first line has three words. The second line has five, and the third line has three.
