Rant in Rhyme

How I hate it when I can’t write,
Write for something I love to do;
Just because I’m amidst a block,
About the festival I had no clue.
Sad that not a friend did remind,
That my favorite festival returned;
Now I’m irritated, yes, irritated,
That the first 2 days I’ve spurned.
I want to write, I love to do that,
For those two days that’ve died;
But I can’t link to the festival alas,
The links have closed (yes I tried).
Now I’m left to rue the lateness,
That I start to write for this now;
For the first time since it started,
I’ll not be completing it somehow.

Sigh! Le sigh! More sigh!

Seven days, seven posts, that’s what the Write Tribe Festival of Words is about. The theme for Day 3 is Free Write. Mine ended up a free rhyme. I’ve missed the start of the 3rd Festival of Words, which I’ve completed in its first two editions. This time I’m hoping I can do link at-least 5/7 posts, since the first two link widgets have already elapsed.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

    • I’m sad that you or Pixie didn’t notice I wasn’t there πŸ™ I’m irritated at myself for missing out first two days. 😐

    • Heheh! πŸ˜› I know. I’ll be writing the first two too. Just that the moment I hear I missed the start of something, I feel super irritated, Locomente!

      • Oi sweet hostess Corry, don’t hmmmph πŸ™‚ I didn’t complain that I wasn’t invited. I’m sad to have missed the first two days, that’s all. It’s easy to miss these things when you’re in a blogging rut! I’ll write soon and send you the links on FB. Thanks so much! πŸ˜€

    • Hey Locomente – you keep adding your vague links to Write Tribe and deleting my comments on your blog? What’s the game, buddy?
      PS: Sorry Leo – I just had to ask her/him here!

    • Oh she is sweet, no doubt about it, Aditi πŸ˜€ Even if she hadn’t too, she’s sweet. πŸ˜‰

      I’ve followed it long back, but I’m forgetful sometimes. Happens, like I said, when one is in a rut and doesn’t see the feeds often! πŸ˜›
