My friendship… and ours.

Blog love… now this reminds me of some good ol’ days when we used to pass on award badges to the blogs we loved the most. I had quite a collection, even made a slideshow of the badges when I was in Blogspot earlier. So which are the blogs I love the most? I like all my friends very much, but I’ll share one today with this post.

Which are the blogs I love the most?
I hate to rank my friends like that
Everyone writes something I love
Something they love and are good at

I can’t mention all the blogs I read
That number in the hundreds I know
So here I talk of but one in the list
One of the gems in this treasure trove

Simran Kaur, she writes all sorts,
Poems and stories with such ease;
A baby by look, mature with words,
She’s super talented, if you please!

“My Friendship” she calls her world,
Her friendship is a blessing for me,
If you visit her beautiful verses once,
You’ll return there often, surely.

I’ve known Sims for a long time now. And it sometimes surprises me that she can write so well, so maturely for her age. She’s not only a good writer but a great friend as well, trying to make me smile when I’m in the blues, or make me write even when I’m feeling blocked, or trying to analyze my mood and find what’s bugging me, even when I don’t know myself what is bugging me. She’s an avid reader (mostly her textbooks these days) and a superb cook too (the pictures of her food look delicious anyways). You’ll enjoy the sweetness of her character which is reflected in her writing too. She blogs at My Friendship.

Seven days, seven posts, that’s what the Write Tribe Festival of Words is about. The theme for Day 2 is Blog Love.

(3rd March, 2014)

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
