and then again, I wonder,
wonder what’s in a form;
form thoughts into words,
words don’t have norms.
norms are but standards,
standards I have to raise;
raise the level I can write,
write for me, not praise.
praise is but inspiration,
inspiration to much more;
more is less, that I know,
know that I should soar.
soar above the doubts,
doubts the world says;
says I, “I can and I shall”;
shall do them my way.
Seven days, seven posts, that’s what the Write Tribe Festival of Words is about. Oh, and the theme is “Seven” as well. I thought what do I do, and then I thought some more, and I was about to give up when a random idea discussed through a phone call kind of stuck, and the thought (and writing) block was broken. What I’m going to do, in these seven days, is write seven poems in seven forms of poetry that I love to write.
There are numerous poetry forms that I love to attempt. But the last one that I share to the festival is called Loop Poetry. There is nothing complicated about this form. The last word of one line is the first word of the next. The poem is of stanzas of 4 lines each. Each stanza has a rhyme scheme ABCB (i.e. only the second and fourth lines of each stanza rhymes.)
