Raindrops

Relief I find
Amidst the heat
In drops that fall
Near my feet
Dancing in the wind
Renewed joys
Onward I tread
Pleasant feels, the
Struggle ahead

Seven days, seven posts, that’s what the Write Tribe Festival of Words is about. Oh, and the theme is “Seven” as well. I thought what do I do, and then I thought some more, and I was about to give up when a random idea discussed through a phone call kind of stuck, and the thought (and writing) block was broken. What I’m going to do, in these seven days, is write seven poems in seven forms of poetry that I love to write.

This particular form above is an acrostic. Acrostic poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually the same words as in the title.

(02 Sep, 2013)

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Thank you 🙂

There is the middle of blogosphere
    Hurriedly penning my own thoughts
    Artofleo, caught my attention
Narrating beautifully in prose, sharing the
    Knowledge of seven forms

You have opened up million possibilities
    Our poetic skills honed now,
Urged me to pen this thank you note!

    • What nonsense, that too coming from you of all people 😛 I’m not a serious person, Pin! 😉 I love writing poetry that’s all 😀

  2. Can you believe it Leo that I have written acrostic poetry in my long gone schooldays? 🙂 Hmm – acrostic, yes; Poetry? Well i called it that then 🙂
