Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

I can see the desert in these words. Especially the last line.
That was the intent, and I’m glad it worked, Bjorn. Thanks very much 🙂
a slight darkening of the sky in the far distance….I am there…..
Thanks, Joanne 🙂 Yeah, I can see the darkening horizon too.
I liked “silent” brewing — a contrast I don’t imagine.
Thank you, Sabio. Glad you liked it.
I like the brewing in silence ~ Nice one Leo ~

I hear the storm and it sounds pretty ominous. Beautiful in its simplicity.
Thanks, WabiSabi. Glad you found it beautiful 🙂 I tried to keep it as expressive as I could in the simplicity.
Amazing haiku Leo. I can vividly see the desert you describe. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you for the appreciation, and I’m glad you could picture the desert through my words, Write Girl 🙂
I like the ominousness in this poem. The silence is unnerving. Well done.

I can soooo relate to this haiku somehow ! Lovely take, Leo.
Deserted dreams breathe on me
Thanks, Pranita. Figuratively, it means an empty heart begins to start brimming with thoughts of negativity, like a storm brewing in silence.. 🙂
Hey Vinay, This about my haiku – Plea for Love, you have read that does that exceed 17 syllabus? Please tell me how so that I take care in future.
I have replied at your haiku, Meenakshi 🙂
Hi Leo. A scary thing- waiting for the unstoppable attack of the sandstorm
I have not submitted anything this week, just going round, admiring – ♥
It would be, yes 🙁 but something I can imagine, though have never been to a desert. Hope you join in this week, with the Storm prompt 🙂
I can feel the energy building up!
Thanks, Clarice. 🙂
