Forgive me,
I have lost a dream –
in the walks of life,
in the chains of strife,
in a dearth of hope,
I just couldn’t cope.
Forgive me,
I have lost a dream –
I let go of a choice,
in life’s endless noise,
after money I went,
now I lie here – spent.
I look back now,
that dream has gone,
it has left me forlorn;
if only I believed,
in what I conceived.
now hard as it seems,
I’m left to bereave,
what might have been.
Forgive me, me..
I have lost a dream.

It’s tough when dreams get lost 🙁
Yes, GS 🙁
Sometimes it is hardest to forgive oneself, indeed, but very healing when one does.
Most of the times it is, Barbara, but healing needs to happen!
To the depths you went with this one. I hope it was healing for you. Thank you for sharing.
I like the depths where I went too, Morgan. Thanks for reading! 🙂
Yes ,it’s really piercing when dreams get lost and the pain is even more when you find yourself helpless…
Thanks, Odyz. Yeah, it is very sad when that happens, unbearable pain of sorts!
