with each breath I drift awake,
toward a new day as night brakes;
dreamy realms, tempt me to stay,
but reality will be better today.
on the bed, I lie without doubts,
like a boxer ready for the bout;
as the sun’s rays ring the bell,
I trudge into what might be hell.
as eyelids slowly come to life,
a world shines, new hopes rife;
in just a breath, I find my feet,
joyful steps, the world to meet.
