An Untold Story..

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 32; the thirty-second edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is ‘An Untold Story’

An untold story,
I whisper to the wind.

It reaches the moon;
She listens eagerly,
then shyly makes a veil
of a passing cloud;
It kisses the stars,
A twinkle in their eyes,
reach my own,
and I laugh out loud.

It dives into the lake,
swims with the swans,
then touches the bed
seeks treasure chests;
It flies through leaves,
sings with the night,
then seeks the place
where inspiration rests.

It swings past curtains,
into another dream,
listens to their stories
untold, unheard still;
It captures my muse,
chains her with words,
but still she smiles,
albeit against her will.

An untold story,
I whisper to the wind,
It travels the world,
but still stays unknown;
It returns to me,
with the rays of dawn,
till I whisper it again,
in the night, all alone.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. How wonderful. Your stories even when told stay unknown πŸ™‚ I think that’s the best way. Human ears can’t always be trusted to keep it that way or really listen, right? πŸ˜‰

    Keep it coming. I pray you get a few cheer this Blogaton as well, Vinu. πŸ™‚

  2. πŸ™‚ I love poetry! .. I am glad to see how you have interpreted the topic.. I almost imagined how like a feather this story might have traveled. I enjoyed reading it.

    Megha πŸ™‚

    P.S. You have a follower now.. I am going to be around leaving remarks on your other artworks. πŸ™‚

    • Thank you and glad you liked my interpretation, Megha πŸ™‚

  3. do you think of such beautiful things..turning a story on to feather..making it travel all over the world and yet returning back to you like it has a dreamlike trance..a complete stunner.

    • Thank you, Tanaya πŸ™‚ I just wrote what came in the moment. Considering it was half hour to close, I think I just let it flow and glad it turned out as a stunner. Cheers. πŸ˜‰

  4. loved this poem Leo. there is something so innocent about it! splendid imagery, simple words! one of those things that I wish I had written !!! specially like the first four lines
    It reaches the moon;
    She listens eagerly,
    then shyly makes a veil
    of a passing cloud;

    • Thank you for the appreciation, Sapna πŸ™‚ I’m glad you liked the innocence in imagery, and the simplicity. ATB to you too.

    • Thank you and glad you felt it was beautiful, Arjun πŸ˜‰
