Antara and I are friends since over a year. She’s a versatile writer, writing anything from dark fiction to beautiful poetry. Her forte however happens to be her eye-catching photography. I’ve used many of her photographs as inspiration for my own poems, and asked her to share one of her own poems with us. She shares this work of hers with us today.
Tonight I’ll silence the guns and steel;
And under this whispering willow,
Tonight I’ll dance to infinity
With my pockets full of snow
I am nothing you have ever dreamt
I don’t care where I belong anymore
And while the Universe tries to comprehend
I’ll dance to her every contour.
Tonight I’ll silence all but my soul
And this humming, whispering willow
And this singing Universe, wise and old
To which my soul I owe.
