Remember when you found your first friend? It was on instinct right? One minute, you’re staring at a lot of strange faces, and next moment, a friendly hand is in yours, saying, “Hi. My name is ____. Want to be friends?”. Even online, it was similar. I first met Aakriti, in a crowded chat box on Indiblogger. She added me up almost instantly on her network after reading my blog, at the same time I was adding her. We became fast friends after that, and through words, and talk, psychology and poetry alike, I found in her, someone trustworthy. I recently asked her for a guest post, and well, I got it that same day itself. Here’s what she’s written for this little blog of mine.
When Leo told me to Guest post for his lovely blog, I jumped at the opportunity. It’s not a daily thing to get an invite from a talented bloggy friend who charms his readers with everything words can do!
So, here’s my Guest post for you Leo 🙂 :
Ever seen the waves closely?
How one comes upon the other,
The progressing ones recede back,
Merge with the newborns,
Only to give birth to a giant wave?
Ever felt the love of water?
As you stood there firmly,
With sand slipping under your feet,
And waves lashing at you, with bear hugs,
Salty drops, filled with love!
Ever saw your own footsteps?
As they got stamped on the soft sand,
The shells engraved in your name,
The transience which lasts,
The water takes your blames?
Ever tried holding onto that flowy water?
Or moulding the sand in your way?
They, a part of the other,
They, delight of the bay!
Lost in the sea of love,
A million lives unknown,
Lost in this life of love,
One me, you, unknown!
