The Truth, The Lies, And The Love

I met the talented poet Chimnese Davids when she took over the vacant position when I left a community blog. Though she and I had chanced upon each other’s blogs earlier, it was after that takeover that she and I began looking at each other’s work more closely, and in helping her settle down at that blog, she and I became good friends. I hadn’t seen her do much prose till very recently, and it was a delight to read her stories. I asked her for a guest post, and this is what she sent me!

Sometimes I feel that memories are emotions too, they are powerful, they overwhelm in an instant. When Bhawana suggested on my Inspire my Art page to write a post beginning with a certain sentence, I knew what would transpire, for it is something that happens to me often, and I think a lot of people can relate. The nom-de-plume Someone is Special is already quite famous, I think. Saravana, my friend and the guy behind that nom-de-plume is a very talented writer, who specializes in romantic posts. He’s one who encourages a lot, and at times exaggerates on my writing skills too! When I decided to start asking friends to give guest posts, he was one of the first people I requested. Meaningless…

The mind’s quest to find the essence of the universe is something that’s been part of every one of our lives. A mind without curiosity doesn’t have the willingness to take in what the world shows us. Yet sometimes, that same curiosity refuses to accept that not everything is meant, that things can happen at random as well, and that there are more questions unanswered than answered. We begin to frame more questions than seek answers or accept randomness; thinking it can speak more in a single meaning than in unlimited ones.
