Thanks for honoring my blog…

Recently, my blog has got honors from a few bloggers.. I accept them with this post.

Kirti and Antara, two best friends, who read my blog have conferred on me, the Versatile Blogger Award. I’m supposed to choose 7 other bloggers to pass on to, and tell 7 random things about me. I’ll do the latter..

1. If I get addicted to a song, and its lyrics, I keep listening to that over and over again, though my playlist has a whole lot more wonderful songs to listen to.
2. I got over the “Kolaveri di” fever in two days. Its not in my playlist now either.
3. I like to draw and do pencil shading for the same.
4. I’ve not spoken to my best friend since a few weeks now. I hate it but it has been forced on me.
5. I am either extremely optimistic or extremely pessimistic. Yet to find the balance between the two.
6. I love to tweet, but unless its micropoetry or replies, my tweets feel forced rather than random.
7. I don’t pass on awards given to me and with rules to pass on to more people. It’s hard for me to choose a set no. from a whole lot of friends.

Janhvi gave me this award, made by her and not to be passed on. Thanks! The other part of the award was an honest review of her blog. That’s a little difficult at present dear, but will do it sometime.

Before the shift back here, and during my December writer’s block phase, Ava and the Poets Rally conferred another Perfect Poet Award on me. I accept the award and nominate Lady Whispers for the same. I know I might be late, sorry for that.

With words I cannot say,
what poetry means to me,
I’ll just write my heart,
and who knows, will see.

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Leo…thanks for sharing 7 things about you even tho you don’t like to….I got to know a little more about you. It enriches the posts you write, knowing you a little better. I’ve put this poorly, and hope you understand what I mean.
I have enjoyed getting to know you this year…and your kind help along the way.
    Peace

    • I dont mind sharing 7 things part, if I minded, wouldn’t have done, Siggi, just the passing on part I mind since its tough for me to choose 7 to give to 🙂 Nice to have gotten to know you through your haiku too. Cheers.

  2. It’s hard to pass on awards…I know. That’s why I passed to 3 (with Kirti’s being a back pass? :-P).

I get addicted to songs too but recently I have been trying not to keep listening to the same song over and over again because then I get sick and tired of it and that’s a shame.

    • Very hard, Antara, I used to do it before, but too many deserving to put out just a fixed number! 🙂

Some songs are evergreen, and never can get sick of it! 😎

  3. Hey,

Wonderful space, loved it… just as serene and beautiful.. It’s always nice to know something more of a blogger too. Congratulations on the award. May you get many more of these! 🙂

    • Yeah, always nice to know 😎 Dammit, I should have tagged you with it, Arti. 😀 Thanks for the wishes, and welcome here! 🙂

  4. I had so much difficulty in finding your new blog mate!! When I saw your deleted profile, I thought “Man, atleast he could have indimailed me telling that he is gonna delete everything…”
So glad that you still have that blogging fire in you:)
Hope to see you in the Indiclass soon!!!!

    • I didn’t mean to delete the profile itself, it happened accidentally, and well, Inditeam took a week to fix it. 😛 I’m already back on the Indiforum, Dipesh.. hopefully, that blogging fire stays put here, and burns without burning out. 😎

  5. i do the same when i love a song too!!! i get the lyrics by-heart. and sing it on the top of my voice till my mom shouts at me. but, duh, as if i would stop 😛
And i listened to kolaveri di till i got TIRED. at present addicted to- “Moves like jagger” and “criminal”(britney wala, Akon wala nahi) and “blind”(lifehouse) and… ok stopping here.
and why arent you talking to your best frnd??? call the person!! i get real whiny when i dont get to talk with my best frnds and my mom literally kicks me out of the house to make me meet them 😛
and you talk about not balancing between optimistic and pessimistic? at least you are both. i am ALWAYS the latter 🙁

    • Maybe the top of your voice sounds more like screaming than singing, that’s why she gets mad 😉
I listened to Kolaveri some few times, but not so much that it was memorable for long time 😀
Oh, I talked to her today. I was quite busy you see, of late, with work and all. She was OK with it though. 🙂
Stick around 😛 I’ll get u imbalanced between the two, Kirti, sangati ka asar pad jayega 😉 😎
