Seeking..

Off late, I have seen things lost,
suddenly gone without a clue;
Taken from plain sight instantly,
in the blink of an eye, vanished.
Priceless jewelry of memories,
my hard-earned wages stolen;
For long I have been seeking,
the culprit behind this injustice,
seeking to put him behind bars,
seeking to make him feel pain,
seeking to get my assets back.
After much pondering, I feel
I know that person responsible.
I’ve no evidence, but I suspect,

The butler did it.

November PAD Challenge Day 19. #novpad19

The month of November sees the Poem-a-Day (PAD) challenge, hosted by Robert Lee Brewer at Poetic Asides. Day 19 theme is to write a “Suspicious Minds” poem. I decided to have a little fun with it. (Just a little..). Thanks Robert for the inspiration.
OSI #195

One Single Impression, hosted by Andree Reno Sanborn and Sandy Carlson, is a weekly poetry meme that comes out on Sundays. The prompt offered there this coming Sunday is their 195th overall, “Seeking”.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
