November PAD Challenge Day 13. #novpad13

The month of November sees the Poem-a-Day (PAD) challenge, hosted by Robert Lee Brewer at Poetic Asides. Day 13 theme is to write an poem on kindness. I wrote a haiku on it! Thanks Robert for the inspiration.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. You have mentioned a very ironic thing abt the general idea that floats around pertaining a very genuine thing. Kindness and worth are 2 things that should be related and somehow we manage to intertwine the 2. but dont u think it is relative? to the situation and experiences u have had in relation with the situation..?

  3. In my opinion Leo, "Kindness" is a quality, of being warmhearted, considerate, humane and sympathetic. I recognize it as a value, of behavioral disposition, of pleasantness, of tenderness and concern etc…!! So it makes it a person's inherent qualities, of mind and character!!

  5. kindness, is showered ,and may be unbiased too, but it is more a relative thing. Like showing kindness to a deadly snake, may result in many innocent lives being shattered.

  7. @STEPHANIE,I wish that too. Thank you for stopping by…@SARAVANA,Yes, it should be. But it isn't always the case.@VIYOMA,Yes, but are there still unbiased people left?@EXPRESS,It is relative, we show kindness to those only who we feel merit it. We can't show it to a murderer or one who has hurt us in ways we can't put up with. We try, but not always is the case. A thought provoking comment. Thank you :)@NANKA,So it varies from person to person, I guess. Some might be kind without the situation affecting it, some might not be. Thank you for your thoughts! Glad you liked mine. :)@SUE,It fills mine too. Thank you. :)@REICHA,To say lot in less is challenging, and that I find makes what we write more beautiful in itself. 🙂 Thank you for the kind words!@PRAMOD,Yes, I agree! Best decided on the situation :)@DS,Good point too. But some times, kindness does need bias, like Pramod says! Thanks for the thoughts!
